The Princess and the Thumbsucker

Evie and I got our hair cut yesterday.. (one of our favorite things to do together), and she commanded her stylist to curl her hair.. so Nadia, (the wonderful woman who did a fantastic job) was happy to do it for her. Daddy thought the curls were so sweet in our little princess's hair and knew that they wouldn't last long in her "straight as a board" hair, so he snapped a couple of pictures.
The pictures don't do it justice because the back was all spirals and it looked so full.




Now.. on to my other sweet baby...
Evan has a bit of a cold today :o( He has runny eyes and is a little stuffy.. still sweet and happy, you can just tell he feels bad. He also has some teething issues... so he has developed thumbsucking.. it started off with just hands in his mouth all of the time.. just discovering his fingers and stuff.. now when he is sleepy and sometimes while he is sleeping.. he can be heard sucking the thumb.. I snapped this picture just as he fell asleep and the thumb popped out.. what a sweety!

Oh this is soooo cool! It's in German, I believe.. but it's subtitled, the audio is kinda low so turn it up if you wanna hear them speaking. What a neat idea! Some of these people seem pretty freaked out.

amazing sunset!

Wow! I hope everyone had a chance to see tonight's sunset. The sky was brilliant! The colors were ranging from light to dark turquoise blues, pinks, oranges and the clouds were swirling with patterns. I took some pictures tonight.. I only wish that I had a better camera for stuff like this.. I thought it looked like my tree was on fire.. so neat!

Halloween Party 2007

Hey all! Our annual Mothers and More Halloween Party was today and the kids looked so cute all dressed up!
I took a few pictures and my friend, Donita took some as well!

After the party, a bunch of us went to the chinese buffet for lunch.. the kids had their own table so that us Moms could visit... the kids did a fantastic job eating and then played a game of "ring around the rosey" afterwards.

We had a very nice day.. and my Evan was so tired afterwards! Can you tell? LOL

A "bee"utiful Saturday afternoon at the pumpkin patch

What a lovely day it was! Sunny, but slightly cool and breezy! A wonderful day to go to Curtis Orchard and ride a pony, slide down a super slide, play in Munchkinland, jump in some straw, eat cotton candy, and get your face painted... whew! That was alot of stuff!
Evan enjoyed his ride in the stroller.. usually I have him riding in his car seat attached to the stroller but today I figured I'd get him out of his seat and put him directly in the stroller (in the back seat, it's a double and Evie rides in the big girl seat up front). He looked so grown up sitting in it. What a sweety!

And she had a skeleton painted on her face... what a great job the lady did! (Although the wait time to get it done was horrendous!) It was worth it just to get that picture!

Big Boy Seat

I got Evan a "Bumbo" seat today.. he looks like such a big boy in it.. he likes it quite a bit!

A weekend with the Grandparents

My parents came into town from Mississippi for a visit over the weekend! They got to see how much Evie had grown in a year and a half and got to meet Evan for the first time. Of course, my kids were on their best behavior and showed off.
I took a bunch of pics and my Dad did as well.. (Dad's pics have the date on them).
But Evie took this one.. I thought she did a fantastic job!

My Dad and I carved a couple of pumpkins tonight. HEre is a pic of Evie looking at the one Dad carved... it's "Donkey" from "Shrek" Too cute! I carved the "S" logo from Shrek, (with the ears) but I didn't take a picture of that one.



And the last four are just my cute kids!






We had a wonderful visit.. they leave tomorrow to see more family in the midwest and will drop back through on their way home in a week or so. It will be nice to see them again before they head back to Mississippi.
Maybe we'll get some more pictures!!
