My Little Buddy

Just a couple of pictures that I took today of my buddy.. I thought he looked so playful and sweet playing on his mat and he turned to smile at the camera several times.. unfortunatly I have to wait for the flash and red eye, so I always miss the smile.. but this one was cute anyway.. Now, for the second picture.. You may notice the background is familiar.. I used to put the camera on the microwave and do the self portraits of me when I was pregnant.. well this is the same thing.. only I'm not pregnant anymore! Got my little bundle up front still, in his sling, (which he loves some times and hates others) We do several positions in the sling to see which he likes best.. seems the semi-cradle, where he is half in and half out cradled works well but for this pic, I chose the front facing because he looked so darned cute!
He's growing so fast.. gaining weight like crazy! I got on the scale with him yesterday and it seems he weighs close to 10 pounds! His official weight will be taken on the 17th.. by then, who knows what it will be!! He eats like a wild boy.. 5 to 6 ounces per feeding (I only know that when he gets the bottle).. What a handsome boy!

The Teachings of a Big Sister

Tonight Evie taught Evan all about the new toys that hung from his play mat. She talked thoroughly about each one, showing him how they worked and sounded. Evan seemed pretty interested in the whole class.. cooing and watching every move. In the last picture, you can see him talking to her. They are funny together already!

Bathing Beauties

Thought I'd share some photos from tonight's bath.. Evie and Evan bathed at the same time (not in the same tub) and Evie was extra snuggly afterwards.. Evan was sweet and talkative.








And here are some sweet ones of Evan taken from this morning.. one of them is him smiling in his sleep.. He finally smiled a few times for us last night while awake.. and did some cooing.. His favorite place to "talk" to us and respond to us (watching as we walk across the room, tracks things with his eyes) is on his changing table in his room.. I think the lamp is just the right amount of lighting.. something in there makes him just come alive with giddyness!

Just another day

Hi ya! It's a boring old day and the kids and I are just hanging out at home. It's super hot outside and Evie has a bit of a cold.. it just came on last night.. complaining of her nose hurting.. sneezing and a runny nose. Poor thing.
Even has an issue at the moment as well. He's been crying uncontrollably between feedings, like his tummy is hurting. It's lasted 2 days now, and when he's not sleeping or nursing he seems to be unhappy.. which is not like my Evan. Evie had a protein allergy (or milk protein, we could never pinpoint exactly what it was) when she was the same age exactly.. she acted the same way, only she had blood in her stool, his is normal so far.. could be just gas.. but does gas last this long? He does seem to feel better when he burps or poops, but you can tell it's his stomach, he balls himself up and writhes and wants to nurse. I'm nervous to overfeed him, though.. he has his doctor's appointment on Friday the 17th.. hopefully he will feel better by then anyway.


Evie has been a sweety today although she isn't feeling the best.. she showed me some attitude and I snapped a picture right as she was giving me a look.. then she thought she'd be silly for a pose and then a pretty smile.

Splish Splash I Was Takin' A Bath

Tonight was Evan's first real tub bath. Big sister watched while Daddy took photos. He did VERY well.. I remember Evie freaking out and screaming for her first bath.. Evan was calm, looked around wondering what was going on.. only cried when he was ready to get out and eat!
