Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

We have been enjoying our snowfall the past couple of days! I'd guess that we got about 6 inches.. Evie and Daddy have been playing in it.. shoveling the cars and the walk and putting up the inflatable snow men.. Daddy buried Evie this morning as well.. probably not the best of ideas since she sounds like she is getting a cold.. but she had fun, nonetheless!!

And a relaxing night reading stories to Dad.

mmm.. Food Network

I have been watching The Food Network alot lately.. I love Sandra Lee's Semi-Homemade, and Rachel Ray's 30 minute Meals, also Paula Dean and Robin Miller..
I have made several of the recipes lately.. but my all time fave so far is Paula's Creme De Menthe Brownies.. YUM

I'm not the only one who loves watching!

You gotta know when to hold 'em

Evan has been holding onto stuff alot more lately. Grabbing for special toys.. And just starting to look like a big boy... here are a few new pics..

Here's thelittle man holding his brush just after I fixed his hair.. nice side part there LOL What a handsome boy!!

And here he is grabbing his toy in his swing

A little Tummy and Sister Time

Good Afternoon! It's cold and icy outside so the kids and I stayed home all day. Evie pretended to be a Princess and she wanted to marry "Prince Evan". She wanted to try dancing with him for her "wedding dance", so I helped her hold him and she danced beautifully with him in her arms, singing to him the whole time. It was so sweet! He seemed to enjoy it, too!

He also did well with tummy time today.. he doesn't usually like being on his tummy for more than a few minutes but he enjoyed it today for about 20 minutes. Here are some cute pictures of him looking up and around and at his toy. The last one was him laying his head down.. He was tired!!!

Good Morning!

I awoke to the sound of singing.. loud, opera singing... I crawled out of my cozy, warm bed and walked to Evie's bedroom door to find her standing on her Princess table giving a performance to her Butterscotch Pony.. (and to whatever imaginary friends and figures might be present for the concert). Now this sight is not unusual to our mornings.. what WAS unusual was the attire that she had during this recital. Her bathing suit top, the sarong that goes with the bottoms (but no bottoms, bare butt) and snow boots. I snuck back to get my camera just in time to catch the final act. Too bad the video camera isn't working!

And I just wanted to prove to those of you out there that say that Evan is ALWAYS smiling... He was less than happy to have Evie holding him last night..

Poor Evan.. Evie never lets him catch a break! Even as I type this, she's in his face.. he's getting irritated... I better go! Hope everyone has a nice morning!

Gingerbread House and New Ornaments!

Evie helped build and decorate her first Gingerbread house today. I think I did most of the work, she did most of the eating! LOL Notice there's no chimney on top? Yeah.. she ate that first thing, it never made it to the house. She got discouraged when a gumdrop fell off, so she left to go play while I finished it. She is SOOOO ready to eat it. I took pictures and told her that we should wait for Daddy to see it, that there's no hurry to eating it. She told me to send him a picture to his phone and then we don't have to wait for him. LOL

So yesterday, Evie and I bought two new ornaments for the tree! The first one is her "Proud Big Sister" ornament, the other is our fist family ornament!

O' Christmas Tree.. O' Christmas Tree

We put our tree up the day after Thanksgiving... Evie did the decorations.. mostly.. we tried to rearrange them a bit and get the spots that she couldn't reach, but for the most part.. what you see is Evie's doing! (Except for the lights and garland)

I took a picture with and without the flash so that you could see how it looks lit up!
Merry Christmas all!!
