Feeling a Little "Cheeky"

I could have titled this post, "Got a Little Captain in You?" Aftet the Captain Morgan commercials with the one leg hiked up.. but Evan The Destroyer (his new nickname at the Hoctor home) is a cheeky boy!

He likes to be naked from the waist down.. and get into trouble.. little mischevious boy.. you can tell by the look on his face that he's loving getting into trouble. LOL

Updates to the blog

Hey all! I made some changes to the blog... not big changes.. just the layout, (remember when I used to change it all of the time?) but I got lazy and kept it on the green grass one all summer..., also I added a few more features..

First, on the top right hand sidebar, you can subscribe to the blog getting notifications when I update.. This is a cool feature for those who don't check blogs daily so that I don't have to send out emails everytime that I add a new entry.. however, I am the person (and Donita told me last night that she is too) that checks the blogs daily for new activity.. and we see the new postings before we actually get the email from the subscription. Either way.. a cool new addition to the blog.

Second, you can add yourself to be a "Follower" of my blog.. (that reminds me a bit of Myspace) Also a cool feature because the rest of our friends can link to your blog.

And last, those of you who are my Blogger "friends" (on my links list) are highlighted in a whole new way! Yes, it still tells my friends and family that you are my daily links.. but it also updates everytime that you add a new entry.. so visitors of both of our blogs know whether you have made updates as well.. (a great feature for me since I check everyone's blogs daily.. now I'll only have to if I see a new post under your name)
Some of you have password protected blogs for friends and family only.. that won't change.. people will see your name on my list but still will have to enter their login to get to your page, so no worries!



So! Be a subscriber if you aren't a frequent visitor! (Hint* Both of my sets of parents and family!)

And Bloggers.. be a follower so that I know you are a reader! Great for those who don't have time to leave comments.

Evan.. playing and walking like a big boy

Evan and I took a little trip the other morning to Curtis Orchard while Evie was at school. He is finally big enough to play in "Munchkin Land"

And the big news.. he's been walking along things forever it seems, but recently he has decided that he is tired of skinning up his knees on the cement or mulch at playgrounds.. he figures he'll walk.. this is the shortest snippet because he was frustrated with me making him try to walk.. next time I'll just have to be ready with the camera when he isn't noticing...

Evie got a haircut today! Yes.. we're full of haircuts in this house!
Joe and I decided that Evie's haircut should be totally different this time, so I told Bri, her stylist, to cut it short! It's adorable around her face! And so full!!

Snip Snip

Evan first REAL haircut!
It was getting terribly long.. and people were starting to tell me about it.
At 14 months, I didn't want to do it, but he looks so handsome!

Here he is before any snipping was done.. (his bangs were trimmed by me a couple of weeks ago so they aren't terrible but you'll notice above the ears are long)

He was a great boy! He didn't cry.. only fidgeted and pushed her away a few times. The stylist didn't miss a beat.. just kept cutting! It was a great experience!

Evie's 2nd martial arts graduation!

YAY! Evie is a "Tiger Patch"! A Tiger Patch is a mid term graduation promotion that is added to an orange belt. She wears an orange "Tiger" headband and a patch on her belt.

In 8 weeks, if she passes her tests, she will be a yellow belt! Hard to believe that she is advancing so quickly.. but she is just enjoying this so much and doing a fantastic job! She received gloves and boots that she will start using once a week in class to get her used to sparring gear. We can't thank the Newberry Family enough for their great support in Evie's accomplishments! They are the best teachers in martial arts, PERIOD! I'm so greatful that we chose them over all others because of their family oriented class, their discipline and the love and kindness they show my daughter and the other students. Master Tina Newberry even took time out of her hectic schedule to talk to me on parental stuff at my request... who does that???!!!!
