Evie was baking cookies in her Easy Bake oven, which she has done on numerous occasions.. but last night the little pan slipped out of her grasp and she tried to catch it with the other hand, (the one without the oven mitt), and burned the top of her hand between the fingers. It was very painful for her.. I haven't seen her cry seriously and look worries like that in a while... but later when she was showing Daddy she was brave about it.. guess she got it out of her system with me. It looks to be a first degree although it's blistering broke open today.. so I just have to keep it clean and watch for infection.
The siblings enjoying a chocolate milk moment together... The almost never drink chocolate.. Evie totally prefers white milk.. but as a treat last night I thought I'd mix a little Nestle syrup in their after dinner milk.. and they both rarely took their mouths off of the straws until it was all gone!
Evan has decided that it's HIS turn at the computer! Evie already has it 50% of the time playing on Noggin.com, YoVille, and Pirates Online... (with me taking the other 50% during the day to facebook (YoVille), blog, and play Pirates Online).
Joe gets a little time in the evenings after he gets off of work, provided I'm not being a computer hog... and Evan, not so much.
Today, he started hitting the keys, like he usually does.. pulling up browser windows and other windows that I didn't know existed. So I figured, "why not?" I pulled up a preschool, "hit the keys and watch what happens" website, and he had a great time.. and appreciated being treated like a big kid.
Evan likes to dance. What 18 month old child doesn't? But I could never figure out just what music he seemed to favor. Well, I found it. I was cleaning the house one day and was listening to some music and the only song that seemed to move him was AC-DC's "Back in Black". You gotta love a kid who appreciates good music!
