More summer fun!

We have been having a lovely summer so far!
We took the kids to the farm the other day and to the park yesterday.
Evan was very apprehensive at first about me putting him down anywhere near any animals but as we were ready to leave, he wanted down.. and he was so sweet petting the miniature horses and goats!

Evie, of course, wasn't afraid :)

And then to the park yesterday with Jess and her kids..
A car ride with Jess and I is never boring...

Here are some pics from the park..

Summertime Fun!

We had a fantastic day yesterday!
My friend, Jessica and I took the kids to the pool and stayed all day!
Evie was so excited to have Brooklyn there to swim with her and Evan loved having Nathan and Miley to play with as well.

We saw some of Evie's other best friends there, like Alex, Anthony, Brayden, Caleb, Olivia, and Brynn! Summer is here! Can't wait to go to the pool more often!
Afterwards we stopped at home to clean up and drop Miley off with her Mommy and then the hubbies joined us for dinner and drinks at El Toro.
It was awesome to sit out on the patio and soak up some more sun while we were eating and visiting. Evan wanted some of my margarita but thankfully it was already gone before he got a hold of the glass. :)

Happy Summer!!

Tea for Two!

Evie's friend and schoolmate Payton had her 6th birthday last Saturday. She had an American Girl Tea Party! The had to bring their favorite dolls and dress in their favorite party dress! Evie and her doll dressed alike from their hair, dresses, slippers to even their eyeglasses! They had a lovely time and looked so beautiful!

Little Monkey

I just thought that Evan looked cute eating his little banana in his PJ's
He loves being able to hold the banana by himself and eat it. What a little monkey!

Feels like summer!

Hey all! We've been enjoying some lovely weather! We took the kids to the park the other day and played for hours! Joe and I thought that the slides might be wet from the rain in the morning so we brought out the blanket that was in the van and it turned out to be the coolest thing ever! The kids used it on the slides and went super fast!

Here are some pictures from the day

Evie's first sleepover at our house!

Evie's friend, Brooklyn spent the day and night with us last night. The girls had a great time!

While they were playing in Evie's room I set up a beauty salon in the kitchen. I made a chart with prices and nail polish colors and designs for them to choose from and gave them each a baggie of Monopoly money to spend.

They each paid to have their nails polished and designs on them, beads in their hair, (Brook also got a braid), and I gave them free makeup removal, (from the mess that they did on themselves while hidden away in Evie's room), and strawberry facials (lotion) :o) Then they made bracelets while they were waiting their turn.
Afterwards they paid $5 for a movie and $2 for popcorn. Each girl still had money left over and they were excited about it!

Then it was off to bed! They fell asleep at about 8:45 with no problems.. the sweetest part was when they were almost asleep and Brooklyn turns over to Evie and says, "I'm so glad that we did this". Evie's reply was , "me too".

This morning they were up at 5 am! I had to keep reminding them that it was too early to be awake.. they had to stay in bed but they could talk if it were in a whisper.. it rose above a whisper quite a few times and I had to do the "shhhh!" sound.

For breakfast (at 6:30 am, they said that they were STARVING!) I made different shaped pancakes for them to decorate with maple and blueberry syrups, fruit and different colored sprinkles. Evan enjoyed those too!
We are hoping for good weather today although they are calling for thunderstorms.. we'd like to get to the pool! (Also, Evan has had a fever so I'm not sure that will happen anyway)
Keeping our fingers crossed on that one although the skies don't look too promising yet!

A morning at The Orpheum Children's Museum

Evan and I rarely get together with friends without big sister. Yesterday my friend, Kylla invited us to come play at the local museum. He had a great time playing with Rhylan!

Buddies playing trains together (so cool.. Ryhlan's shirt has guitars on it, Evan's got drums on his, they could start a toddler band!)

Like sand through the hourglass.. Evan's face says it all about that sand!
The kids are showing that they know how to share.. I swear! no fights at all yesterday!

I'm ready to go back!!
