Okay.. other than the couple of nights that Evie spent at Grandma's when we were in the hospital having Evan, she has never spent the night away from us. Last weekend, (yes, I am a week late getting this blog up,) Evie, Evan and I were out to dinner with my friend, Hope, John and their kids when Evie and John Michael exclaimed that they wanted to have a sleepover. Well.. Evie was wearing on my nerves to begin with and Hope said that she could.. I was like.. "Are you sure? Will you be alright without Mommy and Daddy?" She was in their car before I knew what hit me. She had a great night.. followed by a nice breakfast and lunch with them, and we picked her up in the afternoon. She's ready to do it again! Hope!!! You want my kid again?!!! It was so peaceful without loud, operatic singing in the car and house.. sure we missed her, but the break was fantastic!
